Candidate,
I'm fascinated by the "unspoken rules" that successful people use to help make the 1,001 decisions that bombard us each day.
What many people mistake for talent and drive from the outside is actually just a powerful rule of thumb that the successful person picked up along the way. (A great example of the game being played around you you don't know about.)
A few examples:
Food: "How can I get takeout but still eat healthy?"
AVERAGE PERSON: "I dunno, I really should try to eat healthier … I'll probably just try to skip dessert … maybe I can eat something beforehand ..."
TOP PERFORMER: "I'm going to check the menu online and make sure it fits my nutrition goals."
Shopping: "I'm not sure, should I get that book?"
AVERAGE PERSON: "I'm not sure, is this book good? Let me read 2,342 reviews to decide. Then I'll ask 5 friends what they think (even though they don't read). Then I'll post on Twitter and ask for advice. Oh, and I should ask on Reddit, too."
TOP PERFORMER: Yes.
