Some badass negotiation skills from Judge Judy

Hi Candidate,

If you've never heard of Judy Sheindlin, she's the star of the daytime TV hit "Judge Judy" that's run for the last 21 years.

Basically, she's Jerry Springer with robe and gavel.

Recently I stumbled on this amazing story about her...

Once, after sitting down to dinner with the president of CBS, she handed him a sealed envelope.

"Don't read it now," she said. "Let's have a nice dinner. Call me tomorrow. You want it, fine. Otherwise, I'll produce it myself."

In the envelope: A typed-up demand to raise her salary to $47 million. (It worked, btw. She does this every three years.)

"The only one who tried something a little bit different was John Nogawski," continued Sheindlin, referring to the former president of CBS TV Distribution. "John Nogawski came to the meeting at the Grill on the Alley, and I handed him my envelope, and he said, 'Judy, I have my own envelope.'

And I said, 'I don't want to look at it.' He said, 'Why not? Maybe it's more than what's in your envelope.' And I said, 'Well, John, if I look at your envelope, it's a negotiation. This isn't a negotiation.'"

Damn, Candidate. That's badass.

Now, most of us aren't 21-year veterans of prime time TV. But WOW -- imagine if you knew you were THAT good you could just go after anything you wanted?

Maybe you don't need a $47 million salary. Maybe you don't want to write a New York Times bestseller or build a massive multimillion-dollar business.

Maybe you just want to finally ask him/her on a date, ask your boss for a $15,000 raise, or set boundaries with your family.

Sometimes, the only thing between you and your goals is a little confidence.

Today, I'll show you how to get the confidence you need -- even if you weren't born with it. It takes only 20 seconds (seriously).

P.S. Unshakeable confidence is just ONE part of what it means to achieve true Mental Mastery. There are three other skills shared by every person who truly wins in every area of their life. To find out what they are -- and how you can get them -- click here.

P.P.S. On Monday, I spoke with Matthew Hussey at 92Y about love, money, psychology, and business.

We also talked about the second edition of my book, I Will Teach You To Be Rich, which has 80 pages of new material, tools, and insights on money, relationships, and psychology. Check it out!
