Candidate,

A little while ago, I asked my readers for examples of what they spend a lot on. You didn't disappoint!

The results were fascinating. I'll share some of my favorites with you…

High-end tea and coffee

Premium clothes

Personal development

Direct flights

(I love this. My assistant has a full document with my exact preferences for how I like to fly, down to my favorite seat on my favorite airline with my favorite flight path.)

Major investments like private school tuition

Splurging on special treats and experiences

Surprising responses

I LOVE IT!

I love peeling back the veil of secrecy and hearing what people actually spend time and money on. This is the real stuff — the stuff we actually value, but we don't feel free to talk about publicly.

Well, in these emails, you get to see the real side of what people value. You might agree or disagree, but I love hearing how people choose to spend their money because it makes me think about where I spend mine.

* * * * *

What did you take away from these examples? Were you surprised? Repulsed? Happy? Angry? Inspired? Write me back and let me know.

Tomorrow, I'll share my analysis of these responses.

P.S. Interesting note: I asked this on Twitter a while back. Look at the responses on the Twitter thread. Not nearly as candid as the responses sent in via email. Hmm, I wonder why…
