Cold hard truth: Why this guy will never succeed

A guy emailed me wondering why nobody was buying his course. He included his conversion data, his traffic, and his price.

HIM: "I haven't bought any. I'm trying to launch my course."

Hmm ...

ME: If you don't invest in yourself, why should anybody invest in you?

I read that guy's email on lunch break from a 50-hour-long accounting class at Columbia University. That I freely chose to attend. Even though I have bookkeepers and accountants who work for me!

Notice the code words people use when they don't invest in themselves:

"I don't have time"
"Not enough money"
"LOL, easy for you to say"

If you claim you want to lose 25lbs, don't give me a spiel on how hard it is to give up bread ... show me your calendar and workout plan.

If you claim you want to go on more dates, don't whine about how there's nobody good out there … show me what you're doing to become a better catch.

If you claim to want a business, don't tell me your dreams, invest in yourself right now and make it happen.

Think for a second about the things you've said you want to do.

Maybe it's trying Paleo. Maybe it's dressing differently. Or maybe it's building a side hustle that brings in a couple thousand dollars every month for just a few hours of work.

Now realize something: Not too long from now, somebody who invested in themselves is going to HAVE what you dreamed about.
