Let's get down to business

While the rest of the country has spent the past week reeling from a suprise Coaltion win, the small-business community have mostly been celebrating, with the prevailing view being another three years of the Liberals is good news.

But that doesn't mean it's time to relax. Business leaders have already outlined where the government must take action, including changes to workplace law, energy price relief, and better access to funding.

One of Australia's most successful startups has also had a whirlwind week, with Canva bringing in a fresh round of funding and acquiring two European companies to become the "Netflix of stock photography". Looks like it'll be 'stock photos and chill' from now on.

And finally, in sad news for business owners everywhere, Shark Tank Australia has been cancelled for 2019, and it might be gone for good.

Goodnight, sweet prince. You were too good for this world.

Have a great week,
Dom Powell
