Candidate,

I remember being 15 years old and spending so much time poring over PC magazines to learn how to build my own computer with the best Pentium processor and video card … all so I could play Duke Nukem at maximum settings.

Now? I just buy a Mac (and proceed to use it for years).

As I got older and earned more money through growing my business, I've learned that I simply can't afford to do the things I used to — not necessarily because I don't have the money to. It's just that I've become more judicious with how I spend my time.

Because as your net worth grows, a very interesting and new challenge arises, where you eventually have more money than time. As a result, your time-money calculus changes — it HAS to.

This is the paradox of becoming wealthy.
